In recent weeks, I've been walking through a tough time with one of our daughters. She has been struggling with a lot of worry and fear. It hits home for me because it's been a significant struggle I have had to overcome in my life. I have found myself praying outside her bedroom door a lot longer each night and trying to cultivate time during the day where she can just talk to us and we can encourage and pray for her.



I love praying the lyrics of the song, The Blessing over her and our family. The words and melody are peaceful and yet a powerful reminder that God is truly with us in all things and wants the best for us.

This song was written out of the book of Numbers chapter 6. In Numbers 6:24-27,  this beautiful blessing is spoken out over the people of Israel. 

The Lord bless you and keep you;

The make His face shine upon you and be gracious you;

The Lord lift up His countenance upon you and give you peace.

So they shall put my name on the children of Israel , and I will bless them.

This same blessing is for you today. Wherever life is throwing at you, God will keep you and give you His peace. The only peace that is beyond understanding or comprehension.
